Hoboken – Clifford Curtiss Patten, Jr., 92, of Hoboken passed away Monday morning (April 29, 2024) at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Jesup, GA. his parents were Clifford Curtiss Patten, Sr. and Lavina Mae Little Patten. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Clayton Patten, Russell Patten, and Ronald Patten; 2 sisters, Lavina Jones, Treva Drury; and a great granddaughter,Lilah Chubbs.
Clifford retired after serving many years in the United States Air Force working in communications. He was a member of the Little Memorial Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, reading and mostly reading his bible every day. He really loved golfing but he also loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Mae Rose Patten of Hoboken; 1 son, Clifford Curtiss Patten, III of Hoboken; 5 daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela Patten Simpson (Michael) of TX, Carol Thompson (Pete) of Waynesville, Barbara Crews (Danny) of Hoboken, Kathy Brooker (Terry) of Hoboken, Shari Feagin (Jeff) of Blackshear; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 1 brother and sister-in-law, Leslie Patten (Linda) of Hortense; Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A Graveside service will be held Tuesday (April 30, 2024) at 11AM at Little Cemetery with Rev. Richie Self officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Phillips, Mr. Li, Lamar Brantley, Marvin Brantley, John Adams, Sonny Reeves, C.L. Nasworth, and Robert Phillips.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
