Cody Dowell

Waynesville-“Cody” James Dowell, 22, of Waynesville passed away Friday night (February 24, 2017) from

injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Brunswick, Ga., his parents are Duane Dowell, Sr.

and Shannon Hardwick Dowell. Cody attended Atkinson Church of God and enjoyed the outdoors, riding

his dirt bike and four wheeler riding. He was employed with the family business Dowell & Sons as a

flooring installer.

Survivors include his father & his step mother, Duane Dowell, Sr. (Paula), of Waynesville

his mother, Shannon Hardwick Dowell of Brunswick, 1 Son, Chandler James Dowell of Brunswick,

Paternal Grandmother, Norma Dowell of Lilburn, Ga., Maternal Grandmother, Carolyn Hardwick of

Brunswick, 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Duane Dowell, II (Rachel) of Waynesville, Bryon Clay of

Tenneessee, and Calvin Simpson of Augusta, Ga., 2 Step Brothers, Thomas Hope and Bradley Kennedy

both of Hortense, 2 sisters, April Nolen of Brunswick, and Amber Nolen of Tenneessee. 2 neices, Allyson

Dowell and Makensey Dowell. A cousin, Amanda Stanfield of Waynesville. His best friend, Calli Bullard of

Hortense. Also several other relatives and a host of friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday (February 28, 2017) at 3PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Florey

officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service.

Family will be receiving friends at the residence 109 Postal Way Waynesville, Ga. 31566.
