Colleen Louise Simpson

Nahunta – Colleen Louise Simpson, 59, of Nahunta passed away Sunday evening (January 26, 2025) at her residence after an extended illness.

Born in Phoenix, AZ her parents were Hiland Moorehouse and Barbara Moorehouse.

Colleen dedicated her time as a cashier at Circle K, where her friendly demeanor and infectious laughter brightened the days of many customers and was a beloved member of her community. Known for her outgoing nature and caring spirit, Colleen had a remarkable ability to connect with people and make them laugh. Her humor and warmth will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Colleen’s legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Simpson of Nahunta; 2 sons, Nick Benedetto and Bill Simpson both of Nahunta; 3 daughters, Sara Benedetto (John Fisher) of Maryland and Crystal Prior (Haley) of Waycross and Tiffaney Leverett of Nahunta; Colleen also cherished her role as grandmother to her 4 grandchildren, Lucas Simpson, Donavin Leverett, Tacoma Leverett and Matthew Lee who brought immense joy to her life; and also several other relatives and a host of friends.

A memorial service will take place Saturday (February 1, 2025) at 12pm at 10738 N. Main St. Nahunta, GA 31553.
