Darnell 'Donald' Matthew Daniels

Darnell "Donald" Matthew Daniels, 61 of Waynesville, passed away Friday (October 10, 2014) at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Waynesville, GA., his parents were Matthew Wilbert Daniels, Sr., and Betty Jean Spradley Daniels. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ann Brandon Daniels; 2 sons, Jason Darnell Daniels, and Joey Matthew Daniels; and a daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Spradley. Donald worked in sales for Coastal Hardware. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and yardwork. He was a member of Palmetto Pentecostal Church. Survivors include 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Angela Daniels Bone (Chris Scott), of Waynesville, Lorie Spradley Dees (Samuel), of Nahunta, Shannon Spradley Burchess (Roger), of Westview, FL, Jewel Spradley Smith (Charlie), also of Westview, FL.; Several grandchildren and great grandchildren; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, James Daniels (Wanda), Ronald Daniels, Richard Daniels (Rita), all of Waynesville, and Matthew Daniels, of Ludiwici; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Janie Turner, Faye Straight (Gail), both of Brunswick, Brenda Crosby (Melvin, and Dolly Green (Jeffery), both of Waynesville. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday (October 14, 2014) at 1 PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. William Johns officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service from 12PM-1PM. Family and pallbearers are asked to meet at the Funeral Home by 12:30PM Tuesday. Burial will follow in Daniels Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Spradley, Monroe Turner, Jamie Daniels, Joshua Daniels, David Daniels, and Jeremy Green. Honorary pallbearers will be Heartland Hospice.
