Daryl Bruce Davis, Sr.

Hortense- Mr. Daryl Bruce Davis, Sr., 61, of Hortense died early Tuesday morning (July 19, 2011) at Magnolia Manor in St.Simons Island after an extended illness. Born in Jacksonville, FL his parents were John S. Davis, Jr. and Maxine Gowen Davis. Daryl served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a salesman for International Auto Processing. And was a member of Philadelphia Wesleyan Sawgrass Church and loved hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. Survivors include his wife of 34years, Pamela Davis of Hortense; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, David E. Davis and Daryl B. Davis Jr. (Chasiti) all of Hortense; 7 grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, John D. Davis(Mary) of Orange Park, FL; a sister, Sylvia Cunningham of Jacksonville, FL; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service will be held Saturday (July 23, 2011) at his residence. Memorialization will be by cremation. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
