Nahunta- David Kyle Hayes,37, 0f Nahunta, passed away Sunday night (September 5, 2021) at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Blackshear, GA., his parents were the late David Hayes and Virginia Albritton Hayes of Nahunta. He is also preceded by his maternal grandfather, Lester Albritton, and his paternal grandparents, Babe Ruth “Boots” Hayes and Bertie Lou Griffin Hayes.
Kyle worked as a heavy equipment operator and maintenance with Timber Land Company of Waycross. He loved hunting, four-wheeler riding, and mud bogging. He was a friend to all, always willing to help others, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his 3 sons, Kyler Hayes of Nahunta, Hunter Hayes, and Oakley Hayes both of Hortense. His mother, Virginia Albritton Hayes of Nahunta, 1 sister and her husband, Kristy and Timmy O’Neal of Nahunta, maternal grandmother, Vera Albritton of Hoboken, nieces and nephews, Alyssa Wilson (Alex), Matthew O’Neal (‘fiancé’ Cricket Davison) and Mark O’Neal all of Nahunta,2 great nieces, Anna Gray Wilson, and Amelia Kate Wilson both of Nahunta. Also, several other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service Thursday morning (September 9, 2021) starting at 9:30 AM at New Hope Cemetery.
Graveside services will be held Thursday morning (September 9, 2021) at 10 AM at New Hope Cemetery with Pastor David Albritton officiating.
Pallbearers will be Rocky Flowers, Ethan Flowers, Brittan Flowers, Cale Flowers, Jonathan Newsom, and Randy Mankin.
Due to COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
