Hoboken- David Thomas Walker, 55, of Hoboken died Wednesday evening (September 21, 2011) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Waycross, GA his parents were Noah Wade and Macie Walker Walker, Sr. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Reba Fay Walker. David was a fork lift operator for Varns Wood Products and of the Christian faith. Also he enjoyed riding horses and playing the lottery. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Macie Walker & Julian Rector of Blackshear; 3 grandchildren, Travis Rector, Makayla Rector and Brianna Rector all of Blackshear; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, James "Buddy" Walker and Noah & Pat Walker all of Hoboken, Charles & Louise Walker and Ivey & Barbara Walker all of Blackshear; a sister, Betty Tiner of Blackshear; a special niece, Reba Whitley; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Friday afternoon (September 23, 2011) starting at 5PM at David's residence 118 Railroad St. Hoboken, GA 31542. A graveside service will be held Saturday afternoon (September 24, 2011) at 1PM at New Hope Cemetery in Hickox with Rev. Jody Griffin and Rev. Roy Jacobs officiating. Pallbearers will be Weldon Lane, Jeremy West, Farrell Crews, Robert Pittman, Ricky Walker and Danny Boy Moore. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.fryefh.com.
