Debbi Joi McAllister Barwick

Debbi Joi McAllister Barwick, 63, of Waynesville passed away Thursday morning, December 7, 2023, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in San Bernardo, California to the late Bob and Joy Patrick McAllister. Mrs. Barwick lived in Valdosta for many years before moving to Waynesville in 2014. She was a homemaker and enjoyed drawing, painting, riding horses, teaching her dogs tricks, and especially loved the outdoors and animals.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Patty Braker.

Survivors include her husband, Dewayne Barwick of Waynesville; one daughter, Nicole Corbett (Brian) of Lake Park, GA; four grandchildren, Colby Tucker, Ainsley Tucker, Piper Corbett, and Oliver Corbett; one brother, Mark McAllister of Nevada; one sister, Julie Jones of Las Vegas, Nevada; three brothers-in-law, Darrell Barwick (Jeanie) of Valdosta, Danny Barwick of Valdosta, and David Barwick of Waynesville; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 10:30 until 11 am at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.  

A memorial service will be held Wednesday morning, December 13, 2023, at 11 am at Frye Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.
