Hortense – Deborah Faye Loper Propes, 58, of Hortense passed away Friday evening (January 29, 2021) at Wayne Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Blackshear, GA her parents were Cecil M. Loper and Linda Wilson.
Deborah was a homemaker and attended Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church. She loved being with her babies and being a nanny. Deborah also loved swinging on her porch, riding 4-wheelers and riding horses.
Survivors include her husband, John Propes of Hortense; a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan Propes (Kristin) of Hortense; a daughter, Tiffany Propes of Hortense; grandchildren, Kase Harrell, Maesey Harrell, Peyton Propes, Elyjah Propes, Jett Propes and Jace Propes; a brother, Wendall Wilson of Colorado; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Due to the COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing and face mask are highly recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
A graveside service will be held Thursday morning (February 4, 2021) at 11am at Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Bryan officiating. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service Thursday morning (February 4, 2021) starting at 10:30am at the cemetery.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
