Delores Ann Van Zile Taylor Barlow

St. Simons Island- Delores Ann Van Zile Taylor Barlow, 79, of St. Simons Island passed away Saturday morning (October 15, 2016) at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick after an extended illness.

Born in Mansfield, PA her parents were Benjamin and Margorie Jones Van Zile. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold Merton Taylor and her second husband, Richard Edward Barlow.

Delores was a homemaker and a member of Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church. She loved raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her 11 children and their spouses, Michael & Laura Taylor of St. Simons Island, Bruce & Theresa Taylor of St. Simons Island, Arnold & Annette Taylor, Jr. of Bradford, NY, Robert & Bonnie Taylor of Statesboro, Nancy & Lawton Lastinger of Waycross, Barnett & Linda Taylor of Brunswick, Richard & Crystal Taylor of St. Simons Island, Rodney & Lisa Marie Taylor of Naples, FL, John Taylor of Warner Robins, David & Nicole Taylor of St. Simons Island, and Kimberly Barlow of Brunswick; 23 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; 4 brothers, Wesley Van Zile of Tioga, PA, Eugene “Kip” Van Zile of Addison, NY; Hank Van Zile of Shelburne, VT, and Larry Van Zile of Addison, NY; 2 sisters, Mary Vandermark of Elmira, NY and Connie Greenfield of Dundee, NY; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Tuesday morning (October 18, 2016) from 10:30am-11am at Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning (October 18, 2016) at 11am at Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Sinclair officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Taylor, Barnett Taylor, Richard Taylor, Rodney Taylor, John Taylor, and David Taylor.
