Hortense - Mrs. Deloris Levene "Herrin" Flowers, 64, died Tuesday afternoon (August 14, 2012) at her home in Hortense after an extended illness. Deloris was the daughter of the late Ernest & Angie Willis Herrin. She is also preceded in death by her husband Harvey Flowers. Deloris was a member of the Bay Harbor Church of God in Atkinson and she worked as a secretary for Southeast GA Health System of Brunswick before retiring. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. Survivors include; a son & daughter -in-law, Jamie G. and Kelly Chesser of Nahunta; a daughter and son-in-law, Fawn & Shenan Foster of Hortense; 4 grandchildren, Matthew Cliatt, Conner Johnson, Millie Chesser and Mallory Chesser; a brother and sister-in-law, Cleve and Brenda Herrin of Nahunta; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Earmae Strickland of Brunswick, Margie and Leon Morgan of Waynesville, and LaRetha and Brian Cowart of Blackshear; also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Thursday evening (August 16, 2012) starting at 6 PM at Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta, GA. A funeral service will be held Friday morning (August 17, 2012) at 11 AM at the Bay Harbor Church of God in Atkinson with Rev. Tommy Gill & Bishop Raymond Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Nahunta, GA. Pallbearers will be J. W. Edwards, Joey Morgan, Johnny Strickland, Timmy Herrin, Brenson Lee, & Ellis Strickland. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta, GA. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at fryefh.com.
