Diane H. Head

Hortense-Diane Hickox Head, 71 of Hortense, passed away Saturday (April 20, 2019) at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Blackshear, GA., her parents were Leroy Hickox and Nellie Whitney Head. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Elias Head; and a brother, Jimmy Hickox.

Diane was a homemaker and she loved doing yard sales and taking care of her family. She attended Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Davie Head (Barbara), of Hortense, Timmy Head (Lisa), of Brunswick, and Steve Head of Hortense; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina Ross (Eddy), of Waynesville; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Roy Hickox, of Waynesville; 1 sister, Freida Jacobs, of Waynesville. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Tuesday (April 23, 2019) from 10AM-11AM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday (April 23, 2019) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Trey Head officiating.

Burial will be at Horsestamp Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Roy Hickox, Jr., Darrell Daniels, Justin Head, Savannah Hickox, Tommy Head, and Wayne Head.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
