Patterson- Donna Sue Dixon Adams, 53 of Patterson, passed away Sunday evening (February 17, 2013) at Wayne Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Jacksonville, FL. Her parents were Harry and Yvonne DePratter, and Kenneth "Rabbit" Dixon. She is also preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawton and Doll Sellers and Ivey and Elmer Dixon; and a brother-in-law, Mac McCarthy. Donna worked as a CNA for ABC Home Health Care, and she graduated from LPN School in 1995, and worked at Bayview Nursing Home, and also at Atlantic Vehicle Processers. She loved her family, friends, and her dogs. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Paul (Hollie) Adams, of Twin Rivers; 4 grandchildren, Evan Adams, Matthew Rogers, Hunter Sledge, Summer Sledge, also of Twin Rivers; a sister, Debra Dixon McCarthy, of Hortense; a brother and sister-in-law, Darrell (Regan) Dixon; 2 stepbrothers, Franklin DePratter, and Lamar DePratter, both of Nahunta; nieces and nephews, Sheena Knight (Anthony) Manibusan, of Hortense, Trent (Jennifer) Knight, of Twin Rivers, D.J. (Brooke) Dixon, of Hortense, Whitney Dixon Benton, of Twin Rivers, and Lawton (Hillary) Dixon, of Hortense; her dogs, Lillie, Precious, and Sandy, and a special friend, David Adams, of Twin Rivers. Also many great nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. A Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (February 19, 2013) at 6 PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday (February 20, 2013) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. R.C. Mathis and Rev. W.C. Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Raulerson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trent Knight, Anthony Manibusan, D.J. Dixon, Lawton Dixon, Larry Knight, and David Adams. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
