Donna Jean Morgan Strickland

Waynesville- Donna Jean Morgan Strickland, 64, of Waynesville died early Friday morning (September 20, 2013) at her residence after a brief illness. Born in Portsmouth, VA her parents were Ralph & Lureen Thornton Morgan. She is also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Dennis & Larry Morgan; and a sister, Diane Morgan. Donna was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, camping and just being outdoors. Survivors include her 4 children and a son-in-law, Dana & Troy Grace, Donnie Steedley and David Steedley all of Waynesville and Davina Proctor of Brunswick; 10 grandchildren, Dusty Grace, Tandi Grace, Dylan Steedley, Taylor Steedley, Desiree Steedley, Destiny Steedley, Hali Proctor, Chasity Proctor, Nicole Wilson and Zoey Lynn Proctor; 3 great grandchildren, Ally Grace, Raegan DePratter and David Steedley, Jr.; 3 sisters, Carol Sharpe of Brunswick, Tina Dinsbeer and Ruby Murray both of Waynesville; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday evening (September 23, 2013) from 6-8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon (September 24, 2013) at 3PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Horace Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow in Foster Cemetery in Pierce Co. Pallbearers will be David Steedley, Troy Grace, Dusty Grace, Dylan Steedley, Donnie Steedley, Peter Sharpe, and Anthony Wilson.
