Dorothy Ann Moore Aldridge, 75, of Jacksonville, FL died Thursday morning (July 15, 2010) at St. Vincents after an extended illness. Born in Nahunta, GA her parents were John Henry and Lillian Navada Jacobs Moore. She is also preceded in death by a son, Larry T. Aldridge; 2 sisters, Lillie Mae Chesser and Georgia Mae Moore Crews; and 3 brothers, Leroy Moore, John Henry Moore and Roger Fredrick Moore. Dorothy was a homemaker who extremely loved her family and attended Forrest Christian Church in Jacksonville, FL. Also she enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and babysitting. Survivors include her husband of 58yrs, Clarence M. Aldridge of Jacksonville, FL; 3 children and a son-in-law, Clarence I. Aldridge and Cathy Aldridge both of Yulee, FL and Susan M. & Alan Alvarez of Jacksonville, FL; 3 grandchildren, Mandy M. Aldridge of Illinois, Justin I Aldridge of Tennessee and Jesse A. Duncan of Yulee, FL; a sister and brother-in-law, Frances Highsmith & Alex Hall of Nahunta; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael & Joyce Moore of Nahunta; and also many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Saturday & Sunday evening (July 17 & 18) starting at 6:00Pm-Until at Patsy Rowell's residence 1276 White Ford Rd Nahunta, GA 31553. A graveside service will be held Monday (July 19, 2010) at 11:00AM at New Hope Cemetery in Hickox with Rev. Keith Foskey, Rev. Freddie Newman and Rev. Roy Jacobs officiating. Pallbearers will be Jesse Duncan, Aaron Highsmith, Patrick Rowell, Michael Moore, Roger Moore, Elmo Lyons and Richard Chesser. Arrangement are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
