Nahunta-Dorothy Hickox Crumpler, 76 of Nahunta, passed away Thursday morning (December 19, 2013) at Mayo Clinic Health System after an extended illness. Born in Winokur, Gerogia, her parents were Joseph R. and Millie Herrin Hickox. She was preceded in death by a Brother; Mitchell Hickox and a Sister; Edith Hartley. Dorothy worked as a CNA for Charlton County and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She loved to read her bible and crochet. She is survived by 2 brothers; Bill Hickox (Debbie) of Screven; Gerald Hickox (Judy) of Jesup; 1 Sister; Ruth Crews (Billy) of Hortense. 2 Special Friends; Hazel Musgrove of Blackshear and Matthew Kovach of Blackshear. Visitation will be held Saturday afternoon (December 21, 2013) at 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday (December 21, 2013) afternoon at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Chancey officiating. Burial will follow in the Hoboken Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews Tyler Johns, Levi Johns, Ricky Walker, Michael Chesser, Josh Griffis, Gary Chesser, Matt Hogan, Riley McKenzie and Michael Crews.
