Dorothy Marion Bartow

Nahunta - Dorothy Marion Bartow, 79, of Nahunta died Friday morning (March 20, 2015) at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Queens, NY her parents were Edward Irving and Dorothy Marion Reed Bartow. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Theiss, 2 daughters, Linda Combs and Liana Combs; 4 infant sons; and a sister, Nancy Bartow. Dorothy was a bus driver for the New York school system and attended the Liberty Lighthouse Worship Center. She loved reading, writing poems and crocheting. Survivors include 2 sons, Carl Raymond Garcia and Eugene Cardona both of New York; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa & Antonio Gonzalez of New York, Carla Muniz of New York and Elsie & Alton Cribb of Nahunta; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Midge Baklund of AL and Vinnie Ribron of Nahunta; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A funeral service will be held Monday evening (March 23, 2015) at 6PM at Nahunta Church of God with Bro. Alton Cribb officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
