Jacksonville, FL – Dr. Ernest Aldovino Ordonez, 83, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Friday afternoon (December 16, 2022) at the Hospice House in Waycross after an extended illness.
Born in San Pascual, Philippines his parents were Alfredo Ordonez and Delores Aldovino Ordonez. He is also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Dr. Ordonez practiced medicine in Jacksonville, FL since 1975 and was a founding member of the Philippine Medical Society of Jacksonville. He served in the United States Air Force and loved fishing, was an avid tennis player, enjoyed running and would run in the Jacksonville River Run every year. Dr. Ordonez was a devoted husband for 35 years and was adored by his patients and was an all-around good guy and doctor.
Survivors include his wife, Chris Ordonez of Jacksonville, FL; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Eric Ordonez (Dawn) of VA and Russ Agner of Louisville, GA; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Stella Villanueva (Ed) of St. Augustine, FL, Leesa Edwards (Matt) of Blackshear and Cristy Voorhees (Rick) of Jacksonville, FL; 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Felipe Ordonez, Jr. of TX and Jose Ordonez of Philippines; 2 sisters, Purita Ferro of Jacksonville, FL and Angelita Lorenzana of Philippines; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
