Dru Dixon Smith

Nahunta – Dru Dixon Smith, 49, of Nahunta passed away Wednesday (June 8, 2022).
Born in Waycross, GA. his parents were the late Claude Smith and Ione Ham Smith of Nahunta. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ronnie Baxley.

Dru was a Firefighter and rescue for Camden Co. fire department. He loved golfing and farming and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his mother, Ione Ham Smith of Nahunta; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Clipper Smith (Sherri) and Deck Smith (Angie) both of Nahunta; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Sissy Baxley of Hortense, Kay Duncan (Robert) of Daisy, GA, Dara Smith of Nahunta, and Dodi Bullard (Frank) of Nahunta. Also several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday morning (June 15, 2022) 10-11AM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A Memorial service will be held Wednesday morning (June 15, 2022) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta, GA. with Burt Smith, Sissy Baxley, and Bro. Ashton Ham officiating.
