Duane Elden Lee

Nahunta – Duane Elden Lee, 56, of Nahunta passed away Tuesday afternoon (August 9, 2022) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross after an extended illness.
Born in Waycross, GA his parents are Aleta Bourgeois Lee of Jacksonville, FL and the late Calvin Jerome Lee. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Jerri Lynn Thrift; a nephew, Christopher Lewis; and a cousin, Stacy Lee.
Duane was a boilermaker for Local Union #26 and loved spending time with his family, being outside, fishing, and working on cars.
Survivors include his mother, Aleta Lee of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Karen Moody of Jacksonville, FL; a niece, Brooke Ammons (Leighton) of Raybon, her children, Rynsleigh Ammons, Raelyn Ammons and Rowan Ammons; a nephew, Jerome Brett Moody of Hoboken, his daughter, Alana Lynn Aaron of FL; a great niece, Emily Page of Nahunta; his aunts, Edna Grace Harris of Nahunta and Nellie Jo Herrin of Hortense; a dear friend, Tina Smart of Atkinson; and also several other aunts, uncles, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening (August 11, 2022) from 6pm – 8pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A graveside service will be held Friday morning (August 12, 2022) at 11am at High Bluff Cemetery with Rev. Hilton Morgan officiating.
Pallbearers will be Brett Moody, Jason Thrift, Michael Moore, Dallas Shenefield, Stevie Lee and Robbie Cleland.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
