Dylan James Herrin

Nahunta-Dylan James Herrin, 24, of Nahunta died Monday (August 8, 2011) at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah from injuries sustained in an accident. Born in Jesup, GA his parents are David James and Janet Lynn Crews Herrin of Nahunta. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Russell Herrin. Dylan worked for CSX Railroad as a Operator and attended The Church of God of Prophecy. Also he enjoyed mud bogging, riding 4-wheeelers, loved his dog and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Amanda Nicole Roberson Herrin of Nahunta; a baby on the way; his parents, David & Janet Herrin of Nahunta; sister and brother-in-law, Jessica Lynn Herrin Johns (Jok) of Nahunta; a nephew, Jake Johns of Nahunta; mother-in-law, Gail Roberson of Hickox; maternal grandparents, Odie and Eula Crews of Raybon; Paternal grandmother, Betty Jo Herrin of Folkston; maternal grandparents-in-law, Virgil & Dottie Rowell of Hickox; grandmother-in-law, Jeanette Smith; and also several other special nieces, nephews and other relatives and a great host of friends. Visitation will be held Thursday evening (August 11, 2011) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon (August 12, 2011) at 2PM at Hickox Baptist Church with Rev. Chance Rhoden, Rev. Paul Rhoden and Bishop Raymond Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Raybon. Pallbearers will be Chase Hamil, Jok Johns, Dallas Albritton, Daniel Thomas, Scott Holton, Brandon Willis, Warren Moody, D.J. Johns, Zack Johns, Lamar Albritton, Anthony Lee Tyler Gibson, Matthew Stone, Russell Wilson, Alex Wilson, Jay Lynn, Scott Crews, and all Dylan's friends and employees of H & S Car Carriers are to be Honoraries. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Southeastern Bank for Dylan & Amanda's baby. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
