E. Marie Herrin Jacobs

Nahunta-Mrs. Evelyn "Marie" Herrin Jacobs,78,died Saturday evening (Jan. 31, 2015) at The S.E. GA. Health Systems, Brunswick Campus after a short illness. Born in Nahunta, Georgia she was the daughter of Merrick and Mamie Roberts Herrin. Preceded in death by her Parents, her loving husband, Rev. Frank Jacobs, a sister, Edith Herrin Ham Highsmith. Sister Marie Jacobs was a very devoted Ministers wife, companion and best friend. She enjoyed helping others and always had a smile. Ms. Marie was a member of The Community Christian Church where she and her husband Rev. Frank Jacobs ministered to the community. She loved to bake pies and was an excellent cook. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Danette Jacobs, of Brunswick, 2-Daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Winton Wilson, of Raybon and Joyce and Gary Strickland, of Hortense, 6-Grandchildren, Adam Wilson, Andy Wilson (Alisha), from Raybon, Emma Steedley (Chris), of Caney Bay, Jamie Tucker (Hank), of Hortense, Colby Strickland (Kristen), of Blackshear, Ari Strickland, of Atlanta, GA. 8-GreatGrandchildren, Jackson and Jake Steedley, of Caney Bay, Ayden and Kinley Tucker, of Hortense, Greyson and Cooper Strickland, of Blackshear, Owen and Evan Wilson, of Raybon, a Brother and Sister-in-law, Linton and Latrelle Herrin, of Raybon, 2-Sisters and a Brother-in-law, Juanita "Neet" and Hubert Hewitt, of Raybon and Mable Cook, of Cartersville, GA., Also several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be starting at 5 P.M. Monday (Feb. 2, 2015) at Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta. Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Herrin Jacobs will be held Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 3, 2015) at 3 P.M. at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta, with Rev. Charles Florey and Rev. Leon Wilson officiating . Interment will follow at The Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Bowers, Joey Bowers, Tanner Wilson, Jordan Wilson, Jamie Chesser and Brad Herrin.
