Edd Dyer

Hortense- Edd Dyer, 87 of Hortense, passed away early Monday morning (June 28, 2021) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.
Born in Chatsworth, GA., his parents were the late Dock Dyer and Ester Jones Dyer. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Dyer and John Dyer; and a sister, Vina Dyer.
Edd worked many years as a Security Guard at Dalton High School. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, eating sweets, working, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Gail Dyer, of Hortense; son, Joshua Dyer, also of Hortense; 2 brothers, Roba Dyer and George Dyer; 3 sisters and a brother-in-law, Carline Postal, Helen Dyer, and Susie Cook (James). Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
No services will be held at this time.
