Eddie Thrift

Hickox- Ronald "Eddie" Edward Thrift, 62, of Hickox passed away Wednesday morning (April 24, 2013) after an extended illness. Born in Waycross, GA his parents were Samuel Adam and Forrest Lucille Lee Thrift. Eddie was a Firefighter for the City of Waycross which he loved. He also loved music, hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Bagley Thrift of Hickox; son and daughter-in-law, Mel Eason, III (April)of Bristol; daughter & son-in-law, Tammy Eason Hicks(Josh) of Plant City, FL; 3 grandchildren, Hunter Taylor, Brayden Owens and Torri Eason; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Thrift Anderson (Roy) of Waycross; special nephew, Dustin O'Quinn; 2 nieces, Rachel Anderson Fletcher and Wendy Cox (George) both of Waycross; great nieces and nephews, Austin & Aylissa Fletcher and Clint & Katie Cox; and also several other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday evening (April 26, 2013) from 5:30pm-7:00PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A memorial service will be held Friday evening (April 26, 2013) at 7:00PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. James Guy officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation.
