Edna Rozier Brockington

Waverly- Edna Delilia Rozier Brockington, 97 of Waverly, passed away Saturday (November 27, 2021) at her daughter’s residence in Calera, AL. following an extended illness.
Born in Waverly, GA., her parents were Frank Rozier and Mary Daniels Rozier. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Brockington; 2 daughters, Carolyn Thomas and JoAnn Worth and a sister, Thelma O’Berry.
Edna was a homemaker and a member of Horse Stamp Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda Simpson (James), of Calera, AL; 6 grandchildren and their spouses, Jon Worth (Jennifer), Morris Worth (Joanna), Angee Gainey (James), Robyn Rykard (Michael), Chris Simpson (Irisa), and Christa Forrester (Jason); 9 great grandchildren, Ella Kate Simpson, Jamey Thomas, Tim Williams, Brock Williams, Devon Thomas, Julie Raines, Bubba Gainey, Seth Thomas, and Chase Rykard; she also has many great great grandchildren; a son-in-law, Clifton Worth, of Waverly. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday (December 2, 2021) at 12PM at Horse Stamp Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Goode officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service, from 11AM-12PM, at the Church.
Burial will follow in Horse Stamp Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Simpson, Chris Simpson, Seth Thomas, and Michael Rykard.
Due to COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
