Elias 'E.B.' Belonia Herrin, Jr

Nahunta – Elias Belonia “E.B.” Herrin, Jr., of Nahunta passed away Wednesday afternoon (June 10, 2020) at his granddaughter’s residence in Kingsland after an extended illness.

Born in Nahunta, GA his parents were Elias Belonia Herrin, Sr. and Ollie White Herrin. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Emily Jean Rozier Herrin and a brother, Jimmy Herrin.

E.B. was an electrician for Okefenokee Rural Electric Membership and a member of Burnt Fort Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his 4 children and their spouses, Thomas Herrin (Regay) of Gainesville, FL, Aundrea Diaz of Woodbine, Greg Herrin of Orlando, FL and Christopher Wentworth of Kingsland; 8 grandchildren, Shannon Herrin, Megan Clifton, Lena Akes, Savannah Hill, Justin Johnson, Amanda Crosby, Crystal Wentworth and Emily Diaz; 3 brothers and sisters-in-laws, Don Herrin (Mary) of Nahunta, JR Herrin (Shirley) of Nahunta and Dewayne Herrin (Sheryl) of Jesup; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Ivalee Thrift (Lamar) of Nahunta, Janice Huling (Robert) of Folkston, Barbara Johnson of Nahunta and Carolyn Oliver (Bob) of Nahunta; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Due to the COVID-19, the family would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the Family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.

A graveside service will be held Friday (June 12, 2020) at 11am at Smyrna Cemetery with Rev. Paul Roberson officiating.
