Hortense-Eric Andrew Jackson, 21, of Hortense died suddenly Wednesday (October 19, 2011) From injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Palatka, Fl. his parents are Rev. Terry Lewis & Karen Wormuth Jackson of Blackshear. He is also preceeded in death by his wife, Leann Renee Little Jackson, and an infant daughter, Madeilynn "Maddie" Renee Jackson. Eric worked at Satilla Regional Medical Center in ICU/CCU as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Attended Little Memorial Baptist Church. Also he loved helping with the Street Reach Mission in Memphis, TN and loved lifting weights. Survivors include his parents, Rev. Terry Lewis & Karen Wormuth Jackson of Blackshear; 2 sisters and a future brother-in-law, Ashley Renee Jackson (Eddie Kersey) of Nahunta, & Katie Elizabeth Jackson of Memphis TN; Maternal Grandparents, Edward & Connie Henson of Lake Helen, Fl.; Paternal Grandparents, Shirley Jackson of Crescent City, Fl., & Terry Jackson of Alma, GA, a Paternal Great Grandmother, Alice Kinlaw of Alma, GA.; and also several aunts, uncles, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Friday evening (October 21, 2011) starting at 6 to 8 PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Saturday morning (October 22, 2011) at 11 AM at Hickox Baptist Church, Hickox, with Rev. Keith Brown & Rev. Spencer Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Little Cemetery, Waynesville. Pallbearers will be Andy Riggins, Ethan Riggings, Larry Pafford, Ryan Pafford, Elkin Strickland, and Wayne Neunke.Honorary pallbearers will be Eric's coworkers of ICU/CCU from Satilla Regional Medical Center.
