Eula Floye Knox Landry, 95, of Nahunta died early Sunday morning (January 31, 2010) at Bayview Nursing Home after an extended illness. Born in Hickox, GA her parents were Frank Monroe and Lilla Hickox Knox. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Landry; a son, Reginald Knox; a great grandchild, Jason Leyva; 2 sisters, Eunice Johnson and Juanita Allen; and 4 brothers, Clyde Knox, Hubert Knox, Alvin Knox and Laverne Knox. Floye was a waitress for Robert Clay Hotel in Miami before moving to Brantley Co. She is a member of Nahunta First Baptist Church and the Heaven Bound Sunday School Class. Also she loved her family and friends, cooking and playing bingo. She is survived by a grandchild and her spouse, Rebecca & Joseph Leyva of Miami, FL; a great grandchild, Alexis Leyva of Miami, FL; and great great grandson, Jaden Leyva of Miami, FL; a special niece and her spouse, Elaine & Gerald Baxley of Nahunta; 3 nieces and their spouses, Carolyn & L.W. Turner of Orange Park, FL, Jeanie & Dick McCarthy of Green Cove Spring, FL and Betty Hendley of Lakeland, FL;a nephew and his spouse, Ken and Sandy Allen of Michigan, a sister-in-law, Golie Knox of Lakeland , FL; 5 great nieces and their spouses, Heather Baxley , Marlene Stanley and Lisa Krautheim all of Nahunta and Terri & Jimmy Joiner of Brunswick and Janet & Jeff Cummings of Jacksonville, FL; 6 great nephews and their spouses, Timmy Steedley, Tommy & Cyndee Steedley, Terry & Kim Steedley all of Nahunta and Brian & Anita Turner of Jacksonville, FL. ; Mike Allen of California and Mark and Crystal Allen of Michigan; also several other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday evening (February 1, 2010) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon (February 2, 2010) at 2PM at Nahunta First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Carson, Rev. Randy Wainright and Rev. Cliff Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Hickox. Active pallbearers will be Timmy Steedley, Tommy Steedley, Terry Steedley, Brian Turner, Dewayne Johns, Aaron Joiner, Derek Johnson and Levi Herrin.
