Finesta Veal

Hortense – Finesta Veal, 61, of Hortense passed away Tuesday (July 18, 2023) at her residence.

Born in New Jersey her mother was the late Rosella Coleman. She had lived in New York, Texas, Germany, and Kansas. She then moved to Georgia from Kansas after raising her family. She is also preceded in death by 1 son, James Gillespie; 1 sister, Zan Coleman; 2 brothers, Kerman Coleman and Frederick Coleman.

Finesta was of the Christian faith. She loved working which she called “busting grapes”, being with friends and loved ones and caring for her pets. She was also an amateur singer/songwriter and wine maker.

Survivors include 1 son, Michael Gillespie ; 1 daughter, Kashonda Coleman; 6 grandchildren, Deja Jenkins, Kynissan Gillespie, Nadia Washington, Stella Gillespie, Echo Gillespie, and Genevieve Gillespie; 1 sister, Andrea Wiley; aunt, Bertha Johnson; also her peripheral family and local friends.

No services will be held at this time.
