Nahunta- Flora "Flo" Mae Horton, 41, of Nahunta died Thursday (January 17, 2013) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after a brief illness. Born in Avon Park, FL her parents are Roy & Thelma Cassels Bass. She is preceded in death by a brother, Roy Lee Bass. Flo was a cook at Brantley County High School. She also loved hunting, fishing, bogging and just being outdoors. She was a one of a kind woman. Survivors include her husband, Jesse Horton of Nahunta; 3 daughters and a son-in-law, Jessica & Eric Rozier of Hortense, Christine Horton and Amanda Horton both of Nahunta; a grandchild, Bruce "Runt" Albert Lee Rozier and one on the way; father and mother, Roy & Thelma Bass of FL; 3 brothers and their spouses, Jim Bass of FL, Daniel Bass (Janette) of CA and Ervin Bass (Brenda) of FL; 4 sisters and their spouses, Debbie Bass (Gene), Diana Blake (David), Debra Bass (John) all of Fl and Elizabeth Biermann (Will) of SC; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Saturday evening (January 19, 2013) from 6-9PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon (January 20, 2013) at 2pm at Lulaton Baptist Church with Rev. Monroe Gill officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Knox, Josh Wainright, Dallas Sheffield, Junior Lane, Christian Cox and Rebel Haynes. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
