Flossie Eleanor Johns

Flossie Eleanor Robinson Johns, 88 of Nahunta, GA died Thursday morning (Jan. 22, 2009) at Hospice of the Golden Isles, Brunswick following a lengthy illness. Born in Wayne Co, GA, her parents were Frances Donald and Nora Bell Lewis Robinson. She is also preceded in death by her husband William Oden Johns, a Great Grandson, Jacob Johns, a sister, Vera Luvade Herrin, and 2 brothers, Herbert and John Paul Robinson. She was a housewife and loved to play with her grandchildren and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her daughter, Annette Marie Washam of Nahunta, GA; a son, Neal Douglas and Linda Johns of Texas; 4 grandchildren, William Matthew and Aline Washam of Nahunta, Eric Lee Boote of Wisconsin; Shannon Elizabeth and Sidney Perry Thomas of Nahunta and Damon Nigel and Nicole Johns of Texas; 5 great grandchildren, Shaun Matthew Washam and Robert Scott Washam of Nahunta, Sidney Andrew and Bethany Jade Thomas of Nahunta, and Alana Marie Garza-Johns of Texas; and a sister Ruby Elizabeth Bennett of Naples, FL; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Frye Funeral Home (formerly Chambless-Frye), Nahunta. Graveside services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Bethlehem Cemetery with Rev. Frank Jacobs, Rev. Leon Wilson and Rev. Sidney Thomas officiating. Pallbearers will be Bobby Gee, Wayne Cox, Christain Cox, Travis Willis, Gary Willis and Jay Johns.
