Framan Crews

Hoboken – Framan Crews, 72, of Hoboken passed away Thursday evening (November 14, 2019) at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in Hoboken, GA his parents were Raymond Crews and Estelle Howell Crews. He is also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Macie Johns and Rosie Mae Dubose; and 2 brothers, Leonard Crews and James Crews.

Framan was a boilermaker and attended Nahunta Church of God. He loved his family and grandkids, riding motorcycles and going to car shows.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Linda Crews of Hoboken; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Lamar Crews (Suzanne) of Folkston, Timbo Crews (Delores) of Hortense, and Jammie Elrod (Mandee) of Waycross; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy Johns (Desmond) of Hickox, Wendy Boatwright (Terry) of Hortense and Donna Pearson (D.J.) of Atlanta; 12 grandchildren, April Newman (David) of Hickox, Dylan Johns, of Savannah, Angelique Crews of Blackshear, Tyler Chapman of Waycross, Justin Strickland of Atkinson, CeeGee Strickland of Hortense, Shaylyn Crews of Hortense, Braxton Crews of Hortense, Garrett Pearson of Atlanta, Calab Pearson of Atlanta, Kalli Pearson of Atlanta, Briar Crews (Anna) of Raybon, and James Elrod of Waycross; 11 great grandchildren, Kyleigh Anderson, Chloe Anderson, Karson Anderson, Zachery Chapman, Acelynn Music, Ella Joy Dowling, Bellamy Crews, Cloe Newman, Cason Newman, Kylie Newman, and Paisleigh Boatwright; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Horace Crews (Diane) of Alma and Buddy Crews (Susie) of Hickox; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday evening (November 16, 2019) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Sunday morning (November 17, 2019) at 11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Florey and Rev. Sammy Spradley officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Briar Crews, Braxton Crews, Justin Strickland, Calab Pearson, Garrett Pearson, Dylan Johns, Terry Boatwright, Desmond Johns, and David Newman.
