Frances Carol Edgy

Frances Carol Harrison Edgy, 71 of Hortense, passed away Sunday morning (April 26, 2015) at her residence following an extended illness. Born in Brunswick, GA., her parents were Lester R. Harrison and Emma Bell Mitchell Harrison. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Edward Edgy; a son, Lester Calvin Edgy; and a great granddaughter, Peyton Carter; and a son-in-law, Les Miller. Frances was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed playing cards and hosting barn parties. Survivors include her daughter, Tina Maria Miller, of Waynesville; 2 granddaughters, Leslie M. Batten, and Seleta Miller; 2 great grandsons, Zack Carter and Laydon Batten; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary E. Linton(Burnie). Also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday (April 28, 2015) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday (April 29, 2015) at 2PM at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Rev. Clayton Edgy and Rev. Emory Wilson officiating. Pallbearers will be Joey Edgy, Roy Edgy, Guy Edgy, Tony Edgy, Kevin Edgy, Mitchell Chorba, and Zane Edgy. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Brantley County High School Class of 1961, Sandra Blount, Fran Deckard, and Pete Buglino. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
