Frances Ella Miller

Frances Ella Clark Miller, 79 of Hortense, passed away Monday (April 19, 2021) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick following an extended illness.

Born in Waverly, GA her parents were John Cade Clark, Sr. and Maggie Eliza Daniels Clark. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, John Cade Clark, Jr., and James Edward Clark; her sister, Margaret Prefontaine; 3 brothers-in-law, Bobby Wasson, Mike Prefontaine and Benny Hatten.

Frances was a member of Sterling Church of God. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cross stitching, and plastic canvas crafts.

Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Crawford Ernest Miller, of Hortense; 2 sons, Glen Miller and Philip Miller, both of Brunswick; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Gail Lanier (Rex), of Hortense, Ann Ray (Morris), of Brunswick, Eleanor Johnson (Eddie), of Hortense; 8 grandchildren, Christina Wallace (Mike), of Columbus, GA., Mark Ray (Michelle), Rebecca Lott (Jesse), all of Brunswick, Christopher Ray, of Waycross, Dustin Johnson (Allison), of Hortense, April Boatright (Jamie), of Mershon, Brandy Enright, of Waynesville, and Samantha Miller; many great and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Whitehead, of Woodbine and Arlene Hatten, of Alma. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Friday morning (April 23, 2021) from 9:30AM-10:00AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be held Friday morning (April 23, 2021) at 11AM at Horse Stamp Cemetery with Rev. Larry Daughtry, Rev. Earl Lamey, and Rev. Larry Giles officiating.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Johnson, Mark Ray, Ben Hatten, Ernie Hatten, Eddie Johnson, Christopher Ray, and Jamie Boatright.

Due to COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
