Hoboken – Frances Tatum Taylor, 88, of Hoboken passed away Tuesday evening (March 5, 2024) at her residence after an extended illness.
Born in Waycross, GA her parents were Lonnie Terrell Tatum and Josephine Byrd Tatum. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Taylor.
Frances was a nurse for Lake Shore Hospital and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She loved traveling in their motor home, fishing and cooking.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Debra Altman (Clinton) of Hoboken; 2 grandchildren, Chase Altman (Jackie) and Britnee Davis (Will); 8 great grandchildren, Brody Yeomans, Sidnee Davis, Baylee Davis, Colton Altman, Hartley Altman, Jacob Page, Addie Page and Colin Page; a sister, Pauline Tatum Henderson of Waycross; a nephew, Cary Henderson (Ellen) of AL; and also several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday morning (March 9, 2024) starting at 10am at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held Saturday morning (March 9, 2024) at 11am at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Gunter officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brody Yeomans, Marty Altman, Chase Altman, Will Davis, Colton Altman and Caleb Altman.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
