Frank Melvin Clark, Sr.

September 23, 1938 — January 10, 2017

Frank Melvin Clark, Sr., 78 of Waynesville, passed away Tuesday (January 10, 2017) at his residence following an extended illness.

Born in Brunswick, GA., his parents were Melvin Asa Clark and Johnny Louise Lyles Clark Williams. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marcia Brooks Clark; and his son Frank Melvin “Bubba” Clark, Jr.

Frank was a member of Little Memorial Baptist Church, he loved horses, cutting grass, spending time with family, bird watching, and taking care of his chickens. He worked many years as manager for Florida Crush Stone, and served in the United States Navy.

Survivors include his three sons, Matt Clark, of Waynesville, Travis Nissen, also of Waynesville, and Aaron Pierce, of Nahunta; eight daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannie Marie Mins (Rod), of Sacramento, CA, Donna Worthington (Billy), Glen St. Mary, FL, Patricia Nissen (Michael), of Waynesville, Terri Singletary (Craig), of Brunswick, Kristy Clark, Amber Clark, Kayla Clark, Vikki Stokes (Chuck), all of Waynesville; a special grandson & nurse, Christopher Stokes, of Waynesville; many other grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Cheryl Williams, of Waynesville, Jinnie Kicklighter (Jim), also of Waynesville, and Melba Travis, of Atlanta. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A visitation will be held Friday evening (January 13, 2017) from 6PM-8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday morning (January 14, 2017) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Brown officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt Olive Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Nissen, Robbie Clark, Lewis Williams, Will Beverly, Brendan Hedegard, and Caleb Johns.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
