Frank Roy Cela

Mr. Frank Roy Cela, 71 of Nahunta, passed away Sunday (January 1, 2017) at Hospice of the Golden Isles following an extended illness.

Born in Savannah, GA., his parents were Joseph Cela and Belle Cela. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Shawn Cela; six brothers; and one sister.

Frank was a retired Concrete Supervisor for Florida Mining, and was a member of Hickox Baptist Church. He loved music, tinkering with electronics, cooking, tending to his plants, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He had a smile that could just light up a room.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Cela, of Nahunta; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Sheila Wright, of Dublin, GA., Daniel and Mandi Wright, of Atlanta, GA.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Christy and Michael White, of Nahunta, and Kassie and Daniel Beckum, of Augusta; 10 grandchildren, Gavin White, Madison White, Katie Wright, Kinsley Wright, Kyle Domzalski, Elijah Evans, Landen Evans, Kallen Beckum, MaKayla Wright, Loyla Wright, and Jayla Wright. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday (January 7, 2017) at 11AM at Hickox Baptist Church. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service.
