Frank Wesley Hinton

Nahunta – Mr. Frank Wesley Hinton, 65, of Nahunta passed away Thursday afternoon (July 14, 2016) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after a brief illness. ‘

Born in St. Augustine, FL his parents were William Berry and Frankie Mae Christian Hinton. He is also preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin Cole Everett; 3 brothers, William Hinton, David Hinton, and James Hinton; and a sister, Janie Blair.

Frank served in the United States Marine Corp and was a retired supervisor for Proficient Auto Transport Inc. He also attended Nahunta Church of God and loved fishing, football, and keeping up with current events.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Rhonda Sapp Hinton of Nahunta; a son, Cody Allen Hinton of Brunswick; 3 daughters, Brandy Susan Hinton (Horace Everett, Jr.) of Nahunta, Christy Michelle Hinton of Oakland, CA, and Melanie Nichole Hinton of Nahunta; 5 grandchildren, Katie Funderburk, Adam Christian Hinton, Michael Christopher Everett, Wesley Hinton, and Lexi Hinton; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny & Janette Hinton, Bobby & Dorothy Hinton, and Roger & Debbie Hinton all of Jacksonville, FL; 2 sisters, Virginia Mosley of Middleburg, FL and Josephine Prevatt of Merriott, CA; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening (July 17, 2016) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A graveside service will be held Monday morning (July 18, 2016) at 11AM with Military Honors at Sapp Cemetery with Rev. Charles Florey officiating.
