Franklin Delano O'Quinn

Kingsland-Mr. Franklin Delano OQuinn, 70, of Kingsland died Monday evening (May 30, 2011) at the Hospice of Golden Isles after an extended illness. Born in Brantley County his parents were Clyde E. O'Quinn and Mary Elizabeth Allen OQuinn. He is also preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jerry O'Quinn, and a brother, Harold O'Quinn. Franklin was a heavy equipment operator, and was employed with Ted O'Quinn for many years and attended Bachlott Church of God. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his son, Jimmy O'Quinn of Madison, FL; 3 sisters, Luciona Tyson, of Woodbine, Virginia Actson, of Mt. Dora, FL, Marlyn Lovett, of Defuniak Springs, FL; 3 brothers, Kenneth OQuinn, Leon O'Quinn, both of Woodbine, Ted OQuinn, of Melborne, FL, ;and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (May 31, 2011) from 6pm-8pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning (June 1, 2011) at 11AM at the Bachlott Church of God with Rev. Ion Johns, and Rev. Jody Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Bachlott Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gene Johns, Lamar Johns, Carl Griffin, Jeff Griffin, Tim Hickox, and Chris Allen. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
