Fred 'Possum' Harvey Loper, Jr.

Mr. Fred H. "Possum" Loper, Jr., 47,of the Atkinson Community died early Saturday morning (Apr. 3, 2010) at his residence after a long battle with cancer. Born in Brunswick, Georgia he was the son of the late Fred H. Loper, Sr. and Frances Virginia Turner Loper. He was a Commercial Shrimper with the Fulcher Company before he became ill and had also drove a truck. Mr. Loper attended the Atkinson Church of God of Prophecy. Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his wife, Lynn Blodgett Loper, of Atkinson, a daughter, Jamie Lynn Myers, of Brunswick, a Granddaughter, Bethany Dsay Garcia, of Brunswick, 2-Sisters, Sharon Loper, of Tennessee, Frances Baxley, of Atkinson, 2-Brothers, James Loper, of Alabama, Shawn Turner, of Brunswick, also several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday morning (Apr. 6,2010) at 11 A.M. from the Atkinson Church of God of Prophecy with Bishop Raymond Willis officiating. Memorialzation will be by cremation.
