Freda Lowe Miller

Freda Lowe Hinesley Miller passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday morning (May 14, 2014) at Bayview Nursing Home. She was born on September 25, 1918 to Fred Roger and Bessie Veasey Lowe in Warrenton, GA., she grew up in Warrenton and received her formal education in the local schools. She attended Shorter College in Rome, GA. and Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, GA. Later she came back to Warrenton and married her high school sweetheart, William Agustus Hinesley. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and she really liked Chipper Jones. She became a strong supporter of The University of Georgia football programs as she was housemother for Delta Zeta Sorority for several years attending the games. Later she moved to Black Mountain, NC., where she met and married her second husband, Cecil Miller. After his death she returned to Nahunta to be near her family again. She acquainted with a lady friend and traveled extensively through-out the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe until the death of her friend several years later. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents and husbands. She is survived by her only child and his wife, William Alan Hinesley (Wanda), of Nahunta; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry Veasey Lowe(Marsha), of Murfreesboro, TN; two grandchildren, Lori Anne Lee (Marty) and Myra Jane Lake (David), all of Nahunta; two step-grandchildren, Derrick Bradshaw (Robin), of Nahunta, and Donna Russell (Rusty), of Waycross; 12 great grandchildren; a special sister-in-law, Jerri Hinesley, of Warrenton. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A Funeral Service will be held Friday (May 16, 2014) at 11AM at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Johns and Rev. Ray McMillan officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 10AM. Burial will be Saturday (May 17, 2014) at 11 AM at Sally Hill Cemetery in Warrenton, GA., in the family plot. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the burial at Lowe Funeral Home in Warrenton beginning at 10 AM. Pallbearers will be Dillon Lake, David Lake, Weston Lake, Ross Allen, Marty Lee, Keaton Lee, Derrick Bradshaw II, and Derrick Bradshaw. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
