Gail Strickland Tumlin

Gail Strickland Tumlin, 79, of Nahunta passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, at her residence.

Born in Jesup, GA , her parents were Avery and Lena Jacobs Strickland. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Myra Raulerson and Jane Strickland.

Mrs. Tumlin worked at Brantley Telephone Company many years, Brantley County Sheriff’s Office, and Brantley County Registrar Office. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Mrs. Tumlin enjoyed travelling, singing in the choir, working in her yard, watching Heron Softball and Basketball, and especially family time.

Survivors include her husband, Jackie Tumlin; one son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Roxie Tumlin of Nahunta; one daughter, Selena Tumlin of Nahunta; two grandchildren, Julia Tumlin (Brandon) and C.J. Tumlin; three great-grandchildren, Cooper Dixon, Canaan and Brooks Green; one brother and sister-in-law, Dr. A.W. and Rose Mary Strickland of Raybon; one sister, Arlene Bass of South Carolina; also several other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Monday afternoon from 1:30 PM – 3 PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

Memorial services will be held Monday afternoon (October 28, 2024) at 3 pm at Frye Funeral Home.
