Garry Nolan "Jug Head" O'Neal,44,of Blackshear died early Saturday morning (May 23, 2009) at his residence after a sudden illness. Born in Waycross, Georgia he was the son of Robert Nolan O'Neal, Sr. and Nolie Jeanette Johns O'Neal. He was of the Baptist faith and was a Truck driver with Long Haul Override Trucking. A former member of The Folks of The River Hunting Club. "Jug Head", as known by family and friends loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by 2-sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Angier Steedley, of Blackshear, and Janet and Billy Nichols, of Hortense, 3-Brothers and a sister-in-law, Larry and Evelyn O'Neal, of Nahunta, Robert N. O'Neal, Jr. and Terry O'Neal, both of Hortense, also several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday evening starting at 6 :00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (May 26,2009) at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta with Rev. R.C. Mathis officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at New Hope Cemetery in Hickox. Pallbearers will be William Nichols, Jerrin Flowers, Joel Mathis, Kevis Griffin, Timmy Creech and Brian Thornton.
