Gary Alexander Carter

Waynesville- Gary Alexander Carter, 80 of Waynesville, passed away Monday (January 24, 2022) at Southeast Georgia Health System following an extended illness.
Born in Alma, GA., his parents were Joel Gordon Carter and Mildred Davis Carter. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Allard Carter; and 3 sisters, Afton Bland, Alfrieda Smith, and Gwen Carter.
Gary worked many years as a Carpenter and enjoyed roping and riding horses.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lana Kelly (Ronny), of Waynesville; 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Meghan Crews (Alan), Britni Vaughn (Erin), and Cody Kelly; 7 great grandchildren, Kynli Flowers, Eli Fullard, Eli Byrd, Kade Kelly, Cason and Shepley Vaughn, and Paisley Crews; a sister and brother-in-law, Glenda Sigurnjak (Glenn), of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Also several other relatives and a host of friends.
