Gary George Smith

Hickox- Gary George Smith, 50, of Hickox died early Wednesday morning (July 13, 2011) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Dublin, GA his parents are the late Monte Carlo Smith and Gaynell Soles. Gary was a carpenter and a member of Hickox Praise and Worship. Also he loved doing woodworks and being a mechanic. Survivors include his mother Gaynell Soles; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Kathy S. & Steve Atha of Monroe, GA and Pat S. Herrin of Hickox; 4 nephews; 2 nieces; and also several other relatives. Visitation will be held Thursday evening (July 14, 2011) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A local funeral service will be held Friday morning (July 15, 2011) at 10AM at Hickox Praise and Worship with Rev. Otis Johns officiating. Pallbearers will be Jessie Wainright, Keith Dowling, Tank Raulerson, Jason Marlon, Robby Dean and Kennesaw Ratteree. A out of town funeral service will be held Friday afternoon (July15, 2011) at 3PM at Mt Olive Nazarene Church in Wrightsville, GA with Rev. Gerald Palmer, Rev. Donald Atkinson and Rev. Tony Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Palmer, Tracy Soles, Jon Mills, Sammy Mills, Billy Dice and Rayford Soles.
