Gary Stevens Harris, Sr.

Gary Stevens Harris, Sr., 55 of Nahunta, passed away Wednesday (March 5, 2014) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick following an extended illness. Born in Folkston, GA, his parents were Joseph Carroll Harris and Pauline Carter Harris. Gary worked as a Water & Sewer Manager for the City of Nahunta. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time at the river. Survivors include his son, Gary Stevens Harris, Jr. of Nahunta; a daughter, Candace Purdom, of Orlando, FL.; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl Harris (Angie), of Ocala, FL, Mike Harris (Amy), of Nahunta; 2 sisters, Wanda Gail Kindle (Lee), of Nahunta, Charlene Lewis (Jimmy), of Jesup; Also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday (March 8, 2014) at Frye Funeral Home at 2 PM with Bubba Strickland officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Dykes, Bubba Strickland, Dan Smith, Jerome Brett Moody, Grady, and Michael Crews. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
