George Martin Moore, Sr.

Nahunta - George Martin Moore, Sr., 50, of Nahunta died Friday morning (March 20, 2015) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Nahunta, GA his parents were Benjamin Leroy and Mary Louise "Peggy" Douberly Moore. George was a foreman and did plaster work with Padgett's Tabby and Stucco before his illness He was of the Church of God of Prophecy faith. He loved his family and fishing. Also he enjoyed his work and being around his family and friends. Survivors include his 2 Sons, George Martin Moore, II and Dan Austin Moore both of Nahunta; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, John & Lynette Moore of Nahunta and Stanley & Roxanne Moore of Hickox; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Leisa & Bobby Douberly of Hickox and Karen & Daniel Highsmith of Yulee, FL; also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A graveside service will be held Monday afternoon (March 23, 2015) at 3PM at New Hope Cemetery in Hickox with Rev. Bruce Dean officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Honorary Pallbearers will be Emory Moore, Roger Moore, Kyle Moore, Cody Moore, Bill Middleton, Elijah Moore and B.J. Moore. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
