November 25, 1941 — May 31, 2013

Hortense-George Randolph Mills, Sr., 71 of Hortense, passed away Friday (May 31, 2013) at his residences following an extended illness. Born in Brunswick, GA., his parents were George Allen and Aileen Rozier Mills. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sue Ann Mills. He is survived by his dedicated long time loving companion Fran Deckard . He is also survived by the mother of his children Maggie Mills, his children Randy(Ae) Mills, Marci Mills (Marcello Vercillo), and Royce (Susan ) Mills. He leaves behind 8 grandchildren, Ashton Pinkham, Caroline (David) Spooner, Kinsey Pinkham, Georgia Mills, Tanya Mills, Ginny Mills, Raymond Mills, Adan Mills and 1 great granddaughter Natalie Spooner. He was very active in boy scouts and baseball as a child. He always loved his music and was a member of many bands over the years. He enjoyed playing his bass guitar, fishing, reading books, dancing and gardening. He was an avid watcher of the Atlanta Braves. He was a member of the Local Pipefitter and Steamfitters Union 177. He was a very generous soul and never blew his own horn. He was very instrumental in getting young members into the Local Pipefitters Union. Visitation will be held at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta, on Sunday, June 2nd from 6PM-9PM. Graveside service will be at Mount Olive Cemetery on Monday, June 3rd at 11:00am. Pallbearers will be Terry Jackson, Buddy Jackson, Terrance Jackson, Ronald Pinkham, Richard Deckard, Earl Perry and Kinsey Pinkham. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Local Pipefitter and Steamfitters Union 177, Bill Music, Wesley Roberson, Donnie May, and Pete Bernetti. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
