George Thomas Strickland

June 11, 1934 — January 19, 2021

Woodbine – George Thomas Strickland, 86, of Woodbine passed away Tuesday evening (January 19, 2021) at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in White Oak, GA his parents were Henry Strickland and Julia Drury Strickland. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ribbon Strickland and his son, Tommy Strickland.

George Strickland was a heavy equipment operator for Camden County Road Department and was a special man who loved his family, the outdoors and playing the guitar.

Survivors include his 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Daniels (Joe) of Waynesville, Cindy Drury (Dale) of White Oak and Cheryl Tomlinson (David) of Waycross; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Due to the COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing and face mask are highly recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.

A graveside service will be held Saturday morning (January 23, 2021) at 11:00 AM at Homeward Cemetery with Rev. Billy Parrish officiating.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
