Gerald Floyd Drury

Jesup – Mr. Gerald Floyd Drury, 79, of Jesup passed away early Friday morning (January 22, 2016) at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in Brantley, Co his parents were Floyd Atkinson and Doris Alene Jacobs Drury. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Tuten Drury and 3 sisters, Adalaide Drury Ivey, Anita Drury Martin and Norma Evonne Drury.

Mr. Gerald was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Bethlehem Wesleyan Church in Jesup. He loved spending time with his family, especially his precious grandchildren . Uncle Gerald and Aunt Ruby were always a big inspiration in the lives of their nieces and nephews over the years. Their home always open and inviting and was the place to be.

Survivors include his 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Terry & Calvin Riddle and Jerrie D. Flowers all of Jesup; 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Gerald & Dawn Riddle of Trenton, GA, Carrie & Emily Bodnar of Independent, KY, and John & Maelynn Riddle of Jesup; 3 great grandchildren, Logan Riddle, Carlie Riddle, and John W. Riddle; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Laverne Drury Frye Littlefield(Hubert), Loretta Drury Bishop, Irma Drury Moody all of Jesup, and Myra Drury Perkins(Jessie) of Lakeland, FL; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Monday evening (January 25, 2016) from 6pm-8pm at Frye Funeral Home, in Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon (January 26, 2016) at 2pm at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Sheldon Rowell officiating.

Burial will follow in George Cemetery in Jesup.

Pallbearers will be Ernest Frye, John Martin, Shon Mullis, Sheldon Rowell, Jr. and Greg Bullman.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
